My horrific clinic life as a student nurse

After graduating from high school, and before starting to work at the clinic, I found a temporary job at a Shinto shrine near my town.
The workers of the shrine were very kind and I discovered how much I enjoyed being there.
Later, the Shinto priest even offered me the opportunity to continue working there, but I had already decided to work for the clinic so I answered, "No," even though it truly seemed to be a voice from God. Oh, well.
My mom prepared a new set of futons for me since I would have to stay at the clinic. One of the working conditions was all the nurses had to live there in the building.
On the day of moving into the clinic, my dad gave me a ride and I happily moved in with my brand-new futon and a few clothes.
The doctor's wife welcomed me and showed me around the hallways and rooms of the clinic.
Then she gave me some sets of nurse uniforms and one of them was made of 100% cotton. Later, it would cause me great trouble.
She also gave me a pair of nursing shoes and then explained how to get to the nursing school from the clinic. I had to attend the nursing school in order to receive a license to be a real nurse.
The doctor's wife was so nice that I became certain that she could never change into an ogre.
She told me to be relax since I would have to start working from the next day. This was a very pleasant surprise. I had expected to start working immediately.
My first night of clinic life came, and I thought so far so good, but one of my co-workers, who shared the room with me, didn't think so.
She told me that all of nurses had to wake up at 5:45 in the morning and clean the doctor's office by 6:00 AM. Then we had to run upstairs to where the clinic's kitchen was located and had to cook meals for the patients who were staying there for treatments.
I suddenly felt a little nervous, but I still didn't know what was waiting for me and so I finally fell asleep...for my last peaceful night.
It was the beginning of hell.
And more horrific than regular horror stories because it was true.

To be continued...
